Blue44 is a genre-bending improvisational ensemble whose music is rooted in jazz. Reflecting today's rapidly changing and unpredictable cultural and musical landscape, Blue44 mixes in elements such as spoken word, latin, world-beat and funk to create a fresh groove based sound. Ambient grooves, sometimes called Acid Jazz or Nu Jazz, with simple harmonic structures provide a deconstructed musical foundation on which musical journeys are embarked in an unpredictable, improvisational format.
